Background check details

The check is run by an outside screening service that has to match your legal identity exactly. None of this appears on your public profile.

I understand Alora will run a background check and that I’ll receive an email invitation to complete it.

Anyone 18 or older living in the home will also be required to undergo a background check.

I give Alora my approval to create a profile for me on the public Shared Living directory. It may use my name, the city I live in, the interests I’ve picked, the photos I’ve provided of myself and my home, and what I’ve written here about myself, my household and the room I’m offering. Alora may tidy up my photos so they show my home at its best — straightening or cropping them, softening what’s behind me, and taking off things like stickers or screenshot edges. Those edits never change how my home, or anyone in it, actually looks. Alora does not publish my date of birth, phone number, email address, documents or home address, and will go through the profile with me before it goes live. I can ask for changes or to be taken down at any time.
