Questions

Shared Living FAQ

Shared Living Providers work under a contracted service relationship with Alora, not a traditional shift-based job. Our team will explain how the arrangement and payment work during your first conversation.

Not necessarily. What matters is that your home passes Alora’s home study and safety inspection. Talk with our team about your situation. Companions live in the individual’s own home.

It depends on the person’s support needs and their PCSP. We’ll talk through your schedule and what the match requires before moving forward.

Often, yes. Matching looks at lifestyle, children, pets, smoking, and accessibility so the home is a good fit for everyone.

The individual, their guardian if they have one, and their planning team choose the match, and they can change it if it isn’t working.
